Why do import tuner cars sometimes sport a bike rack on top of their car?

I guess it's pretty cool, but to be honest I think most car owners tuner denote only do this for attention. What is the real answer behind this question? Is it just for looks right or what? So how much are these?
I've never seen a tuner car weight, with a roof rack or carrying a bike, but to be honest, I assumed that we have to mix our car every day may be an import or a sports car with our daily lifestyle that is the only car we have.
