Pitkat vanished his previous Whelen Modified Tour ride when car owner Don Royal decided to close down his operation late in the season last year. Pitkat had been driving for Monarch in the series since the 2008 season.

Pitkat said the intentions of his new set at this point in time are to run the entire 14-race Whelen Modified Visit schedule. Lukosavage fielded a car for driver Ryan Preece on the Modified Trek in 2011 but after a slow start the team was parked after three events.

"There's some catchy good people helping out there with that operation," Pitkat said. "They seem to have a batch of veteran crew guys. I think it's going to be a good affair. It was nice working with Don, but with Don I had to prepare the car, this thing will be kind of more like my [Jimmy Paige owned SK Modified annoy] and my Late Model, where I can just show up and drive the car and concentrate on what the car is doing. I of it's going to be a good deal."

Pitkat will continue his busy speed away from the Modified Tour in 2012. He will run full-time in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series SK Modified divisions at Stafford Motor Speedway and Thompson Supranational Speedway.
