GM and Nissan have published their pertinent January (2012) sales figures for the green Chevrolet Volt and Nissan Leaf.

Sales are down for both models month-to-month compared to December 2011, but are up year-over-year compared to January of 2011.

GM confirms it sold 603 Volts in January 2012, compared to moral 321 Volts sold in January of 2011. And in December 2011, GM shipped 1529 Volts for its unsurpassed month since the car launched.
