Cheap Japanese car that I can tune?

I am looking for honda or Acura 1995+
I have about 7k to pass on the car itself
I was thinking of Integra or Hatch Civic, but maybe asking others would lift me come up with more choices. I want something reliable like Toyota, Honda, Acura, so on...

Lots of people be alert to Hondas, because they're small, lightweight, and easy to tune. Take a Civic design, throw in a B-series engine and a turbo, and you've got some quick acceleration. But everybody does that. Take a look at a Nissan 300zx and 350z.
