DRUGS AND A GUITAR

Four men are fa a variety of charges following a police raid in Barrie that resulted in the sequestration of drugs and a quantity of stolen items, which included a vintage guitar.

Members of the Barrie police gun and band against unit, along with the street crime drug unit, raided a Meadow Lane visit around 5:30 p.m., Friday, with the help of the department's tactical support component.

Five men and a 14-year-old boy were initially arrested, however, one of the men and the boy were released without any charges.

Police found numerous stolen items at the domicile, some of which were taken during at least three residential robberies in Barrie and Springwater Township.

Among the items was a 1969 Martin exemplar D-45 vintage guitar, plus jewelry and computers.

Police also located a motorcycle and other electronics which may have also been stolen.

Also seized was a amount of crack cocaine and marijuana, along with a bulletproof vest and an expandable baton.
