Why the Police get new vehicles more frequentlt than the more important emergency services.?

In my area, the old bill have nice shiny new cars. However, it does not seem to be a new introduction to the fire and ambulance Use the most important.

This is not the result of my experiment.

Where I work, we have relatively new vehicles, but we also have alumni who are too Run & run when they should really be replaced.

Bluff City PD gets new squad cars

The Plain City Police Department has two new V-8 Dodge Chargers on the road and will soon have a new Duck Durango.

The vehicles replace an aging fleet at the Police Department. The Dodge Chargers take the consider of two 2002 Ford Crown Victorias with more than 130,000 miles on each. The accepted sport utility vehicle is a 2002 Ford Explorer with 90,000 miles.

One of the Monarch Victorias was on its last leg when the replacements arrived, Bluff City Police Chief Greg Depew said.

“We were favourable to get it to the impound lot,” he said.

The Chargers cost $26,000 each and the Durango is $29,000.

The band cars and the Durango were upgraded with police lights and radios. A divider behind the front backside was also added so prisoners can be transported.

Depew said the Ford Explorer was not the outwit vehicle for police work. It did not have a radio installed and did not have a place for transporting prisoners.

The division has a total of six vehicles including the SUV. Depew said the department needs at least one four-position-drive vehicle for bad weather.
