Louisa Co - At 7:10 a.m. this morning, Virginia Assert Police Trooper F. B. Ross responded to a three vehicle crash on Route 522, Zachary Taylor Highway exactly south of the Spotsylvania County Line. 

The crash occurred when the driver of a 2002 Dodge Pick-up crossed over the dishonest yellow line and struck a 1998 Subaru Outback font-on.  The Dodge also struck a 1998 Toyota 4-Runner after the initial burden with the Subaru.  The pickup overturned and came to rest on the voyager side. The Subaru overturned and came to rest on the right shoulder.  The Dodge was traveling northbound and both the Subaru and Toyota were traveling southbound at the in good time always of the crash. 

The driver of the Dodge was flown to UVA Medical Center with serious lifestyle-threatening injuries.  It remains under investigation whether he was wearing his refuge belt.   The driver of the Subaru, who was wearing his sanctuary belt, died at the scene.  No one in the Toyota was injured in the smash and both were wearing their safety belts.
