can somone put a new modern engine in a vintage motorcycle to make it near as fast as a modern bike?

the motorcycle is a mellowed 1942 Indian Scout to make it run near as stable as the "Gilroy" Indian scout made in 2000. The top skedaddle is roughly 120mph.
Why would anybody even thirst to ruin a vintage bike by installing "modern " locomotive in it.That bike stock is worth $10,000.00 + and the minuit you put another appliance in it you reduce the value to 0.
